  Smith, Tim    

Tim Smith is the Subject Librarian for the Classics and World Religions Department, Department of Modern Languages and the Philosophy Department. He works with faculty in these departments to develop the Library's collections and is also available to help students and faculty members with their research needs. He is the author of the Classics Research Guide, World Religions Subject Guide and Genealogy Research Guide; he teaches workshops each quarter on web searching tools and web-based genealogy research.

A native of southern California, Dr. Smith received a B.A. in Classics from the University of California at Riverside, followed by Masters and Doctorate degrees in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Masters of Library Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has been working as a reference librarian at Ohio University since 1985.
