Provides analysis related to the economy, public policy, and security issues in Malaysia. Also provides databases for economic data complied by the Malaysian Economic Research Corporation (MERC) and environmental issues and for natural resources maintained by ISIS.
An autonomous and non-profit organization, ISIS Malaysia is engaged in a wide range of activities focusing on objective and independent policy research and fostering dialogue and debate between the public sector, the private sector and academia. In general, its programs are directed towards five central areas of national interest:

- National and International Economic Affairs
- Strategies for Nation-Building and National Unity
- Policies on Energy and Natural Resources
- Science, Technology and Industry
