  International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)    

Information on the current IFAD projects, events,and publications are provided. IFAD is an agency of the United Nations designed to finance agricultural development projects to increase food production in developing countries.

The agency hopes to alleviate poverty and food shortages among the poor and rural populations of the developing world. The Fund's target groups are small farmers, the rural landless, nomadic pastoralists, poor women, indigeneous peoples, and artisanal fisherman.
