From Domesticity to Modernity: What Was Home Economics?

A digital exhibition from Cornell University, this site chronicles the history and development of home economics as an academic subject at Cornell and illustrates its importance as a "critical bridge from domesticity to modernity in the 20th century."

The exhibit was produced in celebration of the New York State College of Human Ecology's Centennial and has been recognized for "special commendation" by the Rare Books and Manuscriptions Section of the American Library Association.
