Database that provides summaries of news stories from major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, PBS, and Fox) dating back to 1968.

Also includes special reports and periodic news broadcasts that include presidential press conferences and political campaign coverage, as well as national and international events such as Watergate, the Persian Gulf War, and the terrorist attack on the United States on September 11, 2001.

CNN nightly news broadcasts may be viewed online within 72 hours of original broadcast (requires RealOne media player from RealNetworks, which can be downloaded for free at www.real.com).

Faculty and graduate students may borrow videotapes of any broadcast for a fee; to facilitate this process contact either Diana Nichols (593-9683; nicholsd@ohio.edu) in Alden Library. Do not order directly through the TV News Archive website!.
