(Federal Bureau of Investigation files and documents on individuals and organizations.)
Access Info: Ask for materials at Alden Library Microforms Dept.

These files consist of information gathered about specific individuals or organizations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Some are of well known individuals requiring the services or protection of the FBI, others were simply investigated. Often the files contain considerable amounts of political intelligence of both the investigator and those investigated, as the FBI frequently put under surveillance individuals or organizations that various presidents and the FBI director, J. Edgar Hoover, considered threats or enemies. Below is a list pulling various sources of FBI files or documents together.
