The site provides online access to bibliographies and catalogs on Indonesia published since 1990. Language covered are Indonesian, English and Dutch. The site can be searched by keyword.
The entries for each bibliography are arranged alphabetically by author. Each entry consists of eight data fields, namely, ID number, Author, Title (including imprint, collation, serials title and ISBN/ISSN), Coverage, Number of items, Structure, Evaluation and Location. "Coverage" describes the geographic, subject and chronological scope of a work. "Structure" is the arrangement of the bibliography. "Evaluation" is an attempt by the compiler to provide what Kemp called, "a cautious judgement of the quality of the entry", admittedly a foolhardy goal for a non-specialist, but hopefully one that achieves more good than harm. "Location" provides the call number in the library or libraries where the work was sighted or the URL of the website.
The work is an update of Herman C. Kemp's 1990 publication, Annotated Bibliography of Bibliographies on Indonesia (Leiden, KITLV Press). The main sources for the included materials are the Library of the Australian National University and the National Library of Australia, Canberra.
