ODS covers all types of official United Nations documentation, beginning in 1993. Older UN documents are, however, added to the system on a daily basis. ODS also provides access to the resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and the Trusteeship Council from 1946 onwards.

ODS mainly contains parliamentary documents. Older UN resolutions (1946 to approximately 1993) can be searched and retrieved from the Resolutions database only. Resolutions for 1993 onwards can be found from UN Documents database only. On the Advanced search page, select Resolutions and UN Documents from the database drop-down menu.
