The Map Room contains a small but important collection of maps of the Netherlands East Indies (now known as Indonesia) during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Included in this collection are maps of 19th and early 20th century Batavia (Jakarta), Surabaya, Semerang, Sumatra, Borneo, Celebes, and the Moluccas.
