Global Gateway: World Culture and Resources

A unified portal to the Library of Congress's digital international collections and resources.

The jewels of the site are the 25 digital collections, including 20 individual primary source digital collections focused on different world cultures and 5 collaboratively built bilingual digital libraries exploring the US's relationships with France, the Netherlands, Siberia, Spain, and Brazil.

The primary source collections represent subjects as disparate as selections of Arabic calligraphy, Crimean War photographs, and the Kraus Collection of Sir Francis Drake.

Also featured are links to the resources of the main area studies reading rooms, cinlucing the African and Middle Eastern, Asian, European, and Hispanic divisions, and other reading rooms with significant international collections.
