SSEC is a comprhensive research-oriented site pertaining to weather, climate, and other aspects of Earth's global environment.

Of particular interest is the Center's gateway to Internet resources in this subject, educational outreach products, and it's real-time and archive of weather and wide variety of other satellite remote-sensing data. SSEC receives, manages and distributes huge amounts of geophysical data and develops software to visualize and manipulate these data for use by researchers and meteorologists all over the world.
