The papers of Edward Willis Scripps (1854-1926) provide ample information
on the life and times of this pioneering journalist, including his correspondence
and writings, his broad interests and political activity, and corporate
correspondence between his business associates, and his family during the late
19th and early 20th centuries.
E.W. Scripps was publisher of the Cleveland Press and Cincinnati Post and the
developer of a significant chain of American daily newspapers.
