American Public Opinion collects the results of hundreds of opinion polls, reproducing on microfiche data originally released in newspaper articles, special reports, etc. The surveys of opinion cover virtually the entire range of political, economic/consumer, and personal issues. The sources designing and administering the polls include the Roper, Gallup, Harris, Merit, and other organizations.
Both the microfiche, American Public Opinion Data, and the guide, American Public Opinion Index, are published annually and the library has from 1983 to the present.
